For about 3 years, I was a Production Assistant/Video Editor for a photography company. One day, a supervisor came into my editing suite with a question. The interaction went something like this:
“What are you doing this Thursday?”
“Working here, presumably… Why?”
“Our client, GSI, is doing a shoot and they’re looking for talent. They saw your listing on a talent agency website and were wondering if you wanted to be one of the models?”
So, with my manager’s approval, I took a day off work… so I could go to the place where I worked… to get paid by another company.
